The fastest way to sour yourself on AI agents is to hand them a giant vague mission and hope the magic fills in the blanks. That is how you get brittle workflows, mystery behavior, and cleanup work later.
Start with one ugly task
Pick a task that already repeats, already hurts, and already has a clear definition of done. If you cannot explain the task in plain English, the agent will not save you. It will just mirror your confusion faster.
Limit the moving parts

- one human review step before anything public or risky
- one metric that tells you whether it helped

Decide what stays human
